Welcome to Digital Connections!
As I navigate through the 21 Things for Teachers, I am learning and experiencing many "things" that are not only helpful to me, but might benefit students and their parents.
In one our recent classes, the students and I shared in an activity that involved a "moral" digital compass that asked students to respond (anonymously) to scenarios that involved ethical or legal choices. If you wish to discuss the various scenarios offered you may connect to that lesson here: http://www.digitalcitizenship.net/uploads/FoundAct2.pdf)
Most of the students are well on their way to knowing about the legal stuff, but the grey areas still need discussion and guidance to help them make good choices.
This Weebly page, Digital Connections, should offer you opportunities to visit sites and tools that you might not have known existed. If you find others that would be beneficial to any of us, please share the link via my email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Remember that such sites must be able to be legally shared.
Worried about your digital footprint, ever Googled yourself? Most of the things you think have been erased from the "cloud" might still be available for viewing, or sharing , causing harm to you now or in the future.
